Lustra contains hydroquinone which improves skin color by lightening darkened areas such as freckles, age spots, cholasma, and melasma. Lustra also contain alpha hydroxy acid, an exfoliant which reduces the visible signs of skin aging and vitamins C and E which help defend the skin. Its moisturizers help to improve skin tone and clarity. Lustra AF provides all the benefits of the regular cream plus UVA and UVB protection.

Lustra – Common Side Effects

You should not use this skin lightening agent if you have a prior history of hypersensitivity or allergic reaction to hydroquinone or any of the other ingredients. Before using this product you should test on a patch of skin, if skin hypersensitivity occurs, discontinue use of Lustra and notify your physician immediately.

During your treatment with any hydroquinone based product, sun exposure should be avoided with use of sunscreen or protective clothing.

Pregnant women should not use Lustra because of possible risk to the fetus. It is not known whether hydroquinone applied to the skin is absorbed or excreted in human milk. Caution is advised when Lustra is used by a nursing mother. Safety and effectiveness in children below the age of 12 has not been established.
